The +6 sections every SaaS landing page needs

Most SaaS landing pages are missing key conversion pieces. This is the anatomy of a landing page that actually turns visitors into signups.

Whenever someone wants to launch a business, a SaaS platform, or start a startup, they need their own website. One of the most important things is that the site has everything necessary to communicate the key messages to users. A landing page must include, at a minimum, the sections that are essential for any business, as they allow the user or customer to understand what the business offers, its benefits, and more.

So here are the sections that every SaaS company needs to include on its landing page:

1. Hero (First Impression)

The first thing the user sees is the Hero. This is where the most important information is displayed. If the user is looking for something specific that you offer, you must communicate it and make it clear here.

You can include images, headlines, eye-catching colors—whatever you think works best. But the key is that it’s clear what it’s about. It’s essential to include: Your main idea (headline), a slightly longer description (subheadline), and the CTA, which is where you direct them to get started. An image that represents your product or service helps even more because it boosts retention and requires no explanation. Remember: You must communicate what it solves.

2. Features

Here you should include all the great things you think your service/product has to offer. Everything it solves and everything that adds value should be here. You can include images (this is best), animations, etc. Examples:

  • Benefits
  • Tools
  • Solutions
  • etc.

This is the “Why”—why should I pay for this? How many solutions or methods do you provide to solve my problem?

Remember: Include everything your service/product offers.

3. Testimonials

Here you add what users, customers, and the general public think about your service/product. You can use multiple formats and designs, but it’s important that these are real testimonials—preferably ones where the source of those comments can be verified.

You must include:

  • Name
  • Profession
  • Comment on what they liked, why it helped them, or any positive aspects they noticed.
  • Optional: user image (if it’s a photo of the person, ask for permission; otherwise, an account image is sufficient).

Remember: Highlight the benefits your service/product provides through community testimonials.

4. Pricing

Here you list the monthly or annual plans you offer. The number of plans you have will depend on the type of service. You must include:

  • Total price (the total amount the user pays) or Free
  • Who it’s for (individuals, businesses)
  • Benefits included and those not included

5. CTA

Once your user has seen your brand, benefits, and plans, they need the final section to fully convince them. Include an eye-catching headline, additional advantages such as payment methods, discounts, support, etc.—anything you consider important that may have been left out. Plus, the link that takes them to log in, create an account, purchase a plan, etc.

Remember: This is the final push or persuasion for the user

6. Footer + Navbar

These display the most important pages, contact information, and social media links.

Navbar

It contains the navigation you suggest to the user. It should include links to the most important pages, including:

  • Brand or product/service name
  • Key navigation links
  • CTA button that quickly directs them to get started

Footer

It contains important links for navigation, contact information, and legal pages. It can include:

  • Main navigation
  • Legal page
  • Contact links
  • Social media links
  • Optional: Brand name and a short headline

And those would be the most important sections for a landing page. Of course, this is very general; depending on the type of service/product/SaaS, the landing page may include other sections that are even more important. But these are the fundamental ones that every landing page should include, regardless of its purpose.

Other sections:

  • Integrations
  • How It Works
  • About Us
  • FAQ
  • Social Proofs
  • among others.
